Why are your transmissions cheap?

Because we solely operate from one shop and don't have to pay a percentage to a headquarter, like a franchise does, we are able to give our customers the most reasonable price around. Our usage of reconditioned and remanufactured parts where possible also help us give our customers great prices.

Are there any core charges?

Yes and no. Only a small percentage of the transmissions we sell will require us to ask for a core charge. When ordering, we'll be sure to let you know if a core charge will apply to your order.

What are reconditioned and remanufactured parts?

Reconditioned and Remanufactured (Reman.) parts are any parts that go through a process of testing and cleaning to bring them back to a like-new condition. The great thing about these parts is that they have the quality of new parts, but they are much cheaper. Of course, we do use NEW parts where they are needed.

Instead of using the "Bait and Switch" method of many franchise shops, we let the customer know what is only needed to repair their vehicle. How can I tell my transmission is going bad?

There are many symptoms that can help you find out if your transmission is going bad. Here's a couple of the most recognized symptoms:

All returns and exchanges must be authorized by Economy Transmission and Clutch, Inc. before being shipped back. All unauthorized shipments will be returned to sender at customer's own expense. All products returned or exchanged must be shipped PREPAID and INSURED to the following address:

Items Damaged in Shipping

Every item we ship is insured; therefore, claims for damage must be made with the freight or shipping company. DO NOT return damaged items to us, as we will not not be able to honor that claim.

Returns

All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee. All products must be returned within 30 days of purchase date, NO EXCEPTIONS. Special orders, deposits and down payments are not refundable. Remanufactured and used parts are also not refundable. We offer refunds under the prior conditions including the most important one of all; ALL PARTS BEING RETURNED FOR A REFUND MUST BE UNUSED AND UNALTERED.

Exchanges

We will exchange any purchased product that does not remain operational during the warranty period. The defective product must be shipped (package pre-paid by customer) to us by the original purchaser. If a product is incorrectly ordered by the purchaser or the product is defective, it is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to return the product for an exchange. The original purchaser is responsible for all shipping costs. Economy Transmission and Clutch, Inc. reserves the right to inspect defective products before an exchange is given. NOTE, IF WE ARE AT FAULT FOR INCORRECT PRODUCTS SHIPPED, WE WILL ASSUME ALL SHIPPING COSTS. ALSO NOTE, ALL PARTS BEING EXCHANGED MUST BE UNUSED AND UNALTERED.
